Today the Church marks a solemn day of prayer.
As this day unfolds, I feel both grief and gratitude.
I grieve for children lost.
Yet I also give thanks for the lives entrusted to our family.
God meets me in both places.
He holds my tears and multiplies my joy.

A Brave “Yes” and the Gift of Our Sons

As I look at George and Edwin, I feel deep awe.
Their mothers spoke a brave “yes” to life.
Because of that, yes, our sons received a future.
Through adoption, my heart learned that love expands.
It stretches far beyond fear and limits.
As a result, new chapters form with hope and grace.

The Tender Ache of Motherhood

God also blessed us with three biological children.
They keep surprising me with laughter and lessons.
Consequently, my heart continues to grow with them.
Yet our family story also holds loss.
I carried two babies who never reached my arms.
Their names are Anna Marie and Grace Michelle.
Their absence still creates a holy ache.
Still, their brief lives shape my love each day.
They continually remind me that every life matters.

The Dignity of Every Human Life

Our Catholic faith teaches a clear and steady truth.
Every person carries God’s image and likeness.
Therefore, dignity never depends on age or strength.
Instead, it flows from God’s design and love.
Life deserves protection from conception to natural death.
Because of this truth, each Christian receives a call.
Today I renew my yes to life.
I pray for courage, tenderness, and fidelity.

A Simple Call to Action

So today, please join me in prayer.
Pray for mothers and fathers who feel fear.
Likewise, pray for healing after abortion or miscarriage.
Also, pray for lawmakers and hearts to change.
Give thanks for birth mothers and their courage.
Offer support to pregnancy resource centers.
Encourage foster and adoptive families with real help.
Attend Mass or pray a Rosary today.
Finally, perform a quiet act of mercy for the unborn.
Let love guide our choices and actions.
